Midnapore: An Indian Air Force plane has crashed in West Bengal’s Midnapore. The accident happened around 3.30 pm on Tuesday. Fortunately, both the pilots in the plane are safe, the Air Force officials have informed.
An Indian Air Force Hawk trainer aircraft crashed in the Kalaikunda area near Midnapore in West Bengal. Both pilots have been ejected safely. Why did this plane crash? The Indian Air Force has said that a court of inquiry has been set up to investigate this.
The plane took off from the Kalaikunda Air Force Base in West Midnapore, after which the plane crashed in an open space in Kharagpur. There was no major damage due to the plane falling in open space. Soon after the accident, the Indian Air Force and the police rushed to help. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee interacted with West Midnapore Superintendent of Police and District Collector and took stock of the situation.
